Moet & Chandon

Moet & Chandon

It was chic and elegance at the Moet & Chandon fine dining experience that saw a selected  few on the invite list. The Moet & Chandon Global Brand Ambassador was in town and a few top media personalities had the opportunity to not only meet with him but to also understand the brand and the history. Mr Araud is connoisseur of luxury and has come to Kenya to share the magic of champagne.

Founded back in 1743 Moet and Chandon introduced Champagne to the World by offering a range of unique wines for each and every occasion. Each Champaign dazzles the palate with an elegant maturity from the Iconic Moet imperial to the grand vintage collection, the extroverted Moet Rose Imperial and the Unique sweet Nectar Imperial.

This was not only a fine dining experience but also a chance to understand the rich heritage, sophistication and finesse of Moet and Chandon. It is a brand that has perfected the Art of celebration. It is in a class of its own and cant be compared to others. It takes the ordinary and transforms it into extraordinary by imparting its elegance and splendor.

The fine dining was something that i was excited about and wanted to know what you would pair champagne with apart from fruit and chocolates.

The food pairing was prepared by Kempinski’s Chef Marius Ackermann.

For starters we had Timbale of Kenyan rock lobster which was Avocado, Mango salsa and crispy spiced corn bread grissini. This looked like a piece of artwork on the plate with edible flowers. This was paired with Moet & Chandon Brut.

The Lemon Thyme butternut Squash ravioli was next on the menu and that had green asparagus , walnut and Scamorza foam. It did not look like it was much on the plate but it was a bit rich. This was also served with Moet & Chandon Brut.

The main  was Provencal herb crusted fillet of Beef  which had carrot puree, caramelized baby onion, foie gras sauce and polenta cake. It was not only as beautiful as it looked on the plate but also delicious. This was served with  Moet & Chandon Rose which was a lot different on the palate. Floral, fruity and has a way of seducing your palate.

And the final meal was the dessert which was passion fruit crème brulee which had Tahitian vanilla and mixed berries . This was served with Moet Chandon Nectar. It was sweet and just amazing. Guessing this was made by some exotic fruits. Out of all the Moet and Chandon Nectar was defiantly the one followed by Rose which was inspired by love.

All in all, if i could i would have spent the night staring at how beautiful the food looked but it had to be eaten and it was well prepared and made with a lot of love. Moet & Chandon is truly not only a luxury brand but the perfect celebratory  Drink that one must have.
